On the Microsoft Power Platform Blog, Joe Unwin and Justin Tung offered a simple breakdown of what it takes to build secure, modern applications.

The authors stated that speed has always mattered, but that innovation also needs to scale, stay secure, and hold up over time.

Unwin and Tung pointed out that Microsoft Power Platform is built for that reality. They explained how the tools are AI-ready and designed for enterprise use. 

Quick tip: finding the right many-to-many relationship when adding subgrids

Writing on his blog, Linn Zaw Win stated that when you add a subgrid to a model-driven app form and choose “show related records,” you’ll see a list of tables that are connected to the table used by your form.

Zaw Win wrote that for one-to-many (1:N) child tables, things are pretty simple. He noted that the lookup column name shows up in brackets, so it’s easy to tell the difference if there are multiple relationships with the same table.

However, he pointed out that many-to-many (N:N) relationships are trickier as the dropdown only shows the table name. He explained that if you have more than one many-to-many relationship with that table, it’s hard to know which one you’re picking.

Zaw Win then offered a quick workaround to help you find the right many-to-many relationship when adding subgrids that can save you a lot of frustration. He explained that it’s not the cleanest solution, but it works when you’re dealing with multiple many-to-many relationships with the same table.

Agent Platform Advisor: choosing the right Microsoft Copilot made easy
