The path to breaking into the tech industry can feel overwhelming. Careers are dynamic and hard to plan, but with the right timing and resources, you can unlock incredible opportunities. That’s why we designed the Salesforce Workforce Development program (WFD) — to bridge the gap between talented individuals and open jobs in the Salesforce ecosystem. This program transforms careers and guides participants from AI learners to their dream jobs. We do this by providing learners with in-demand skills, industry-recognized certifications, and the confidence to tackle real-world challenges.
Salesforce works with a global network of Workforce Development Partners to develop local talent and create opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds. Participants include recent university graduates, career changers, and underrepresented groups in tech. These participants gain access to curated learning paths on Trailhead, immersive training, mentorship, and job-readiness support.
The results speak for themselves: tens of thousands of learners have been trained, certified, and launched their careers — directly contributing to the growth, diversity, and innovation of the Salesforce ecosystem. And the most powerful proof? The success stories of our learners.
Transforming careers by building AI skills through workforce development programs
Osvaldo Yoshimura: From Mechanical Engineer to MuleSoft Engineer
When the pandemic disrupted industries worldwide, Osvaldo Yoshimura found himself at a career crossroads. With decades of experience in mechanical engineering and data processing, he had built systems that kept businesses running. But job stability was fading, and the future was uncertain. Determined to adapt, Osvaldo searched for opportunities to reskill and discovered the Minha Chance Program, a collaboration between the Brazilian Government and Salesforce. With limited tech exerience, he dove into Trailhead, Salesforce’s free online learning platform. He tackled Salesforce CRM administration, data integration, automation with Flow, and MuleSoft API development — often studying late into the night while juggling family responsibilities.
His persistence paid off! Osvaldo earned multiple Salesforce and MuleSoft Certifications and landed a job at Accenture, one of the world’s largest Salesforce Partners. Today, he leads complex Salesforce and MuleSoft integration projects for global clients. He gives back by mentoring newcomers in the Salesforce ecosystem. Participating in a WFD program gave Osvaldo the confidence, community, and future-ready mindset to embrace innovations like Salesforce AI. His journey proves that with the right opportunities and determination, career reinvention is possible at any stage of life.
Tanishka Singh: From Recent Graduate to Salesforce Business Analyst
Tanishka Singh graduated from university in 2024 with a degree in AI & Machine Learning. While looking for career guidance, she found TechElevate, a Salesforce training program by Skill Horizon and Vanshiv Technologies. Tanishka moved to a new city to pursue her Salesforce career and immersed herself in hands-on projects, real-world business cases, and guided mentorship. She used Trailhead’s self-paced learning and the support of the Agentblazer Community to learn Salesforce administration, development, integration, and Agentforce.
Eager to grow, Tanishka earned the Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator and Salesforce AI Associate Certifications, blending her technical skills with a strong foundation of AI ethics. She put her skills to good use with side projects, including building an AI-powered veterinary emergency dispatch app using Salesforce Field Service concepts. Her eagerness to learn combined with her training and certifications landed her in her first role at Vanshiv Technologies.
Today, Tanishka combines her technical skills with business acumen and mentors aspiring Salesforce Business Analysts. Her story demonstrates that calculated risk, expert guidance, and a lot of hard work can pay dividends future-proofing your career.
Rodrigo Torales Villarreal: From Sales to Strategic Alliances
After 30 years of work experience, Rodrigo Torales Villarreal was convinced that technology could be used to make a difference. Rodrigo explored reskilling options and discovered the Salesforce Global Workforce Development Program. It offered structured learning, mentorship, and a path into a role where he could put his Salesforce skills to good use. He immersed himself in Trailhead and learned Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Flow Automation, and Agentforce. His commitment earned him multiple Salesforce Certifications and recognition as an Agentblazer Legend.
That leap of faith paid off! Today, Rodrigo is the Strategic Alliance & Business Development Lead at Incompany Solutions, where he drives Salesforce adoption and AI innovation across Latin America. He co-founded Ceibotec to help NGOs amplify their impact with Salesforce. Additionally, he launched Bridge2Tech Bootcamp, which has trained 50+ professionals from 10+ countries and opened doors to digital careers. Rodrigo’s journey proves that with vision, continuous learning, and the power of community, professional reinvention can be a catalyst for inclusion and innovation.
