Growing Salesforce Career Opportunities in the LATAM Community

As community advocates, we are always looking for ways to help members of the Salesforce ecosystem advance their careers. Salesforce’s global appeal has led to a network of users all over the world. As Salesforce’s birthplace, the US has by far the largest and most established user base, but one of the fastest-growing communities of Salesforce professionals is in LATAM (Latin America), with major hubs in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.

In response to this rapid growth, we have created a career survey in collaboration with certified consultant and Trailblazer community leader, Jose Arroyo Pacas, aimed specifically at those working with Salesforce in LATAM. After all, what’s the best way to learn about the community? Ask the community!

Take the Survey

Such rapid growth will continue to create opportunities for LATAM professionals looking to learn new skills and accelerate their careers. We are excited to launch this survey, which will explore different aspects of the LATAM job market, from years of experience to the number of certifications held.

If you are working with Salesforce in a LATAM community, we would love to hear from you. Please share your insights to help support one of the world’s fastest growing Salesforce ecosystems.

Although the survey is anonymous, there will be an opportunity (optional) for those who participate to enter a prize draw – be in with a chance of winning a $50 (USD) MercadoLibre gift card.

The survey can be completed in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.

Jose has been working in the Salesforce industry for three years, during which time he has become a certified consultant. As an official community leader for the following groups (the first in El Salvador!), Jose wears a variety of ‘hats’:

  • Salesforce Community Leader
  • User Group Leader Tableau
  • Slack Chapter Leader
  • MuleSoft Meetup Group Leader

And yet another hat (they are stacking up!) – Jose is now working on a project called LATAM Ohana, where he wants to create a supportive, collaborative community for the Salesforce ecosystem.

Why is it important to be launching this survey?

“Inclusion and equal opportunities are so important, especially as many of us are working remotely. Countries in Latin America are very diverse and the biggest impact on equal employment opportunities is each country’s economy and the strength of their currency.

Latin America is shaping up to be the biggest market for Salesforce ecosystem professionals. I want to maximize that potential by understanding users’ experiences.”

How do you see the LATAM Salesforce community evolving in the next few years?

“We have seen great momentum in the community, and I see new partnerships forming with industry leaders, employees, and entrepreneurs as we continue to build a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment. Personally, I always want to aim for more – I want to help individuals to access the global job market, and then work with companies on Salesforce adoption in the region.” – Jose Arroyo Pacas

To continue the conversation about the LATAM job market, we will be co-hosting a LinkedIn Live event with Jose on Tuesday, October 11 – you can find out more information via our LinkedIn event page.
